A Tad Embarrassing...

Something has happened at my home (the parsonage.)
I thought about taking pictures of it, but in my head, I could hear your gasps of horror...and it was just too much.
The weeds have taken over.
It is so bad, that I am having to ask other people if certain things are a weed or a plant. Generally, the weeds are small, and the plants are larger...but not here.
They are the same size here.
Frightening.
Also embarrassing...but let's not discuss that.
I may go out and pull weeds/flowers today.
Unless is rains.
Please God, make it rain.

Happy Saturday Bloggy Friends!

  1. Well it's raining here 8 miles South of you. We were praying for nice weather so we could work on our house. Do you want us to move or not?! :)

  2. Sounds like my house! I affectionately named my garden Weed Garden which also helped me remember which direction it was. Weed Garden West of house.

  3. Simply close all curtains on your windows and you won't even see your "weed garden." Out of sight, out of mind!

  4. The rain will make the ground perfect for pulling weeds tomorrow! I LOVE pulling weeds...I'd help you out if we lived closer!

  5. I hear ya'. Actually, I do have a couple of weeds that are taller than my rose bushes right now. I desperately need to get out there, but no time this weekend. But I obviously have time to sit down and comment on your post. Hmmmm ... don't say a word, smarty pants.

  6. Our garden is the exact same way... I posted a picture of it last Saturday. My son actually calls the plants, "good weeds" that is how pathetic I am.

  7. At once of our previous appointments, we had a group who was on a local (stateside) mission trip and came to our church to do some work. One of the things they were going to do was landscaping at the parsonage.

Yeah - I'd not weeded there for the whole time I had lived there - about 4 years or so......The leader of the group asked - so, how long has it been since you've weeded out here?
And to make it worse -- they were a group from my home church in GA. I knew most of them.
    TOTALLY get the embarrassment.
    Hope it rained for ya!

  8. Girl...don't you fret! I've been known to dig up the actual blooms thinking they were weeds. I thought about going to Lowes or Home Depot...As advertised-I can do it, they can help.

  9. Cracking me up, Sarah! Hope you got your rain today, lol. You can spot the weeds because they are typically MUCH bigger than the real flowers. Surely God had a reason for making them grow 10 times faster, but really...how fair is that!? ; )

Thank you so much for your sweet words and continued prayers for Millie. Can't say it enough...

    Blessings my friend,
    Tracy

  10. ooohhh...I dont do weeds. I would rather have a rock yard than deal with weeds. Ok, maybe not. but I would hire a lawn company to come out a few times a year to make sure they dont take over my life!

  11. Hi Sarah . . . I just wanted to thank you for your comment on my blog! You made me laugh . . . and I have to agree - those little "lickers" are weirdos!

  12. Hope it rained.

But if it didn't, I'd advise you to pull the biggest green things in your yard. Weeds grow so much faster than regular plants.

(Hmmmmm. I sense a sermon illustration there.)

  13. Oh Sarah, I feel your pain. Weeds are so hard to stay on top of. You are not alone my friend!

  14. I must say I rather enjoy Weeds! Now and again I refer to us as "wildflowers" but Weeds, we're gorgeous!

  15. I stink at yard work. I asked for a gardener for Christmas! So, I didn't get like a real live gardener, but I did get someone to come do a total re-haul on our front flower beds because they were so bad!
