Dare to Wear is Here

Two little words...skinny jeans.
*gasp* I wasn't quite sure that girls with my curves should wear skinny jeans...but after looking at a few magazines I realized it was totally do-able as long as the proportions were right.
Apparently the key is either long cardigans or something bulkier on top to help balance the butt/thigh region.
Also, and this is key, skinny jeans are NOT (and I repeat NOT) the same as tapered leg jeans. Skinny are skinny all the way down...tapered are just evil and unflattering...all baggy at the thighs and knees and then BAM tight at the ankles. *shudder*
So, here goes.
Skinny jeans with flats:
Skinny jeans with my favorite favorite boots:

*I need to get a full length mirror in an area of the house that

  1. has better lighting
  2. is void of the gold shag carpeting

  11. You look good in skinny jeans. Not sure I could pull it off but your clarification made it sound more doable.
The gold shag carpeting comment had me laughing. We once rented a farmhouse that had red shag in one room and blue & green shag in another. Don't get me started on all the different kinds of paneling.

  18. Good work!

And you are right, they are skinny all they way down. I'm always afraid my ginormous calves are going to bust a seam.

I love them with the boots, good work!

  19. Curves?? Like an hourglass perhaps. I thought only us truly chunky (being nice) girls used the word "curves" to describe our uh... ampleness.?.?.?. I suppose you cute little ones could call your hot figures "curves" if you want to... but man, leave us something!

I soooo want skinny jeans and boots but A. not willing to spend the money for jeans that I would only wear with boots and boots that if I bought brown, I would decide I needed black and B. my "fashion thought process" is now becoming, can a grandma-to-be pull this off. . . .? I don't think so . . . .
