Unoriginal is the New Original

I've been perusing Pinterest to distract myself from winter.  It sorta helps.  And it gives me lots of ideas to create...and by create I mean copy.  And all that's required after that is sweet talking the husband into hanging an awkward & heavy basket shelf thing.

So I made a coffee station.

The printable is courtesy of Pinterest as well.  Click here for your own!

And if you were thinking that my coffee pot looked sad and lonely all by itself then you read my mind.  Ben and I have decided we *need* an espresso machine.  And french press.  And then then coffee station will be complete.

Also, I would like a 24 cup coffee maker.  Bigger is better.

And I Crafted...

Last week I crafted.  And by crafted, I mean:  Copied Pinterest.

The inspiration was this:
new banner, new blog

The Pinterest version wasn't a tutorial, so I had to wing-it a bit.  I cut out letters from cereal boxes I dug out of our recycling box.  (It's such a good thing we wait for for-ev-er to actually take the boxes to the recycling place.)  Then I glued the fabric to the cardboard and cut around the letters.

Ta Da:

So fun!

I told Ben I might just paint a headboard on the wall.  ;)  He thinks I'm kidding.

Side Note:  *I used to be sort of cynical about that phrase.  Because, Duh, we all know that you need more than "love" to make a marriage great.  But after I sat on the idea of it for awhile, I began to look at it from a Biblical perspective rather than a Hollywood perspective.  And Biblical love encompasses so much more than feelings.  1 Corinthians...

  Love never gives up.
Love cares more for others than for self.
Love doesn't want what it doesn't have.
   Love doesn't strut,
   Doesn't have a swelled head,
   Doesn't force itself on others,
   Isn't always "me first,"
   Doesn't fly off the handle,
Doesn't keep score of the sins of others,
   Doesn't revel when others grovel,
Takes pleasure in the flowering of truth,
   Puts up with anything,
   Trusts God always,
   Always looks for the best,
   Never looks back,
But keeps going to the end.

That kind of love, is a supernatural love, that comes from God alone.  And it really is all we need.

Snickers

I made these last night.  Layer upon sugary layer.  They weren't ready to eat until this morning.

Best breakfast ever.

Oh Pinterest, how I love thee.

You can click on the link under the picture that says howsweeteats to get the recipe.

It's better than real snickers.  Ohmyword.

PS - It's worth the extra pounds...completely worth it.

Day 5 - Happy Foodie

Day 5 of 31 Days of Happy

Pinterest makes me happy.  Recipes I've found on Pinterest really make me happy.  So, I thought I'd make you happy too...by sharing them with you.  These recipes are ones I've made myself...and they're delish.  (click on the link after Source to go to the actual recipe)

Sorry the pics and links are a little wonky...I'm not sure why Pinterest doesn't cooperate with me.

Hooked

Last week a blog friend turned facebook friend introduced me to Pinterest.

Oh. My. Word.

I can't even come up with words to describe how much I love love LOVE this sight.  I am hooked.

Many of you are probably familiar with it already...I'm the last to know about cool stuff sometimes. :) But, in case you are like me...you should go check it out.

It's visual organization to the extreme...and I love it.

And it's simple.  WAY simple.

Do you love it?!?
